Elisa went the hospital yesterday and the doctor's office today for some more follow up testing. The little ones are doing just fine! Now we'll just wait until they're ready, that is, when Elisa goes into labor.
If this does not occur for another 2 weeks, the labor will be induced or the surgery will be scheduled to end the pregnancy in the 38th week. A decision will be made at next Wednesday's doctor's visit.
It's becoming more and more difficult for Elisa to cope with the physical demands on her body. She's supporting more than 11 pounds of baby, and as much as 10 pounds of other tissue and liquid. She's already taken leave of her job, and although she isn't exactly bedridden, she can't spend much time on her feet, just sitting up is a chore, and she gets winded just from talking too much.
We are thankful that the pregnancy has lasted as long as it has, and we are both anxious to meet our sons.
