The babies are one week old.
Getting an hour of sleep here and there makes it feel like much longer, but we are managing. Elisa's mother, Noemi, was here most of the week, which was a huge help.
They boys are not gaining weight like they should, but they aren't losing weight either. Adrian is holding steady at 5 lbs. 6 oz. and little Vincent is holding at 4 lbs. 13 oz. They should regain their birthweight by the time they turn 2 weeks old. We try to feed the 2 oz. of milk or formula per feeding, but it's a challenge because they keep falling asleep and their little stomachs don't hold much. When they feed at the breast, or when they spit up, it's hard to know how much they're getting - the key is frequency of feedings.
We've got another appointment with the pediatrician on Monday, and I have to go back to work. Elisa's father and stepmother are visiting from Brazil, so we'll have some much-needed help.
