Today we got our first bit of bad news, after what seems like a flawless 35 weeks.
Today we learned that, while Adrian is flourishing, weighing in at over 6 lbs, little Vincent falling behind. He has grown very little since our last ultrasound, weighing in at only 4lb. 7oz.
Further tests are needed, so Elisa will return to Inova Alexandria Hospital on Thursday, then again on Monday. If the doctors find cause for alarm, they will probably decided to proceed with the C-section, possibly immediately.
Elisa planned to take leave of her part time bank teller job next week, but in light of her current situation, her last day was this morning.
We're trying to stay optimistic, because the news has been nothing but positive until now. Regardless, we have our hospital bags packed and Elisa is ready to deliver the boys any time. The nursery is ready to go and the car seats are installed, thanks largely to our friend Andy Z. who was a huge help last weekend.
In other news, I started my new job today with a DoD Contractor in Crystal City . . . a big change from the aiport environment.
