Update

The boys are doing well. Some fussiness, but overall, they behave well.

They are inconsolable only when hungry, and even Vinny is gradually crying a bit less. I've adopted a new strategy: when I'm holding him, every time he's about to cry, I lift him up into the air, or otherwise distract him, and it seems to work . . . It's not 100% effective, but using this technique seems to snap him out of an otherwise extended and intese crying fit. Adrian, meanwhile, only cries when he's really hungry, but he often shouts and yells in a playful way while flailing around on his back when he's awake.

Both boys are developing muscle tone pretty fast. While they are not crawling around yet, they can hold up their heads and (with support) push with their legs and hold themselves in a standing position for as long as 10-15 seconds at a time.

They also developed the ability to frown when they are unhappy, and the tears that had been conspicuously absent, are now welling up in their little eyes when they cry . . . both these factors make their crying a bit more moving than before.
