Birth Weight and Beyond

Last week's visit to the pediatrician revealed that the boys have eclipsed their birthweights: the first milestone in any infant's life. It's significant because it indicates that their development is on the right track. They are only about half a pound heavier than last time, but it translates into big gains in size, overall strength, and the crucial ability to nurse and digest food.

We have been very fortunate, not only to have healthy boys, but to have lots of in-home help. This past week was Rose's turn to tackle those night feedings while Elisa and I rested.

Noemi is back for the weekend too, which always lightens the load greatly. Tati contributed last weekend, and will probably be back at the end of the week.

Below is a collage that Tati put together. A high-resolution copy and many more photos are available at our online photo album here:

Big congratties to you guys for surpassing your birth weights! Great to see you all doing so well, and try not to give Rose too hard of a time -- coffee only helps so much..
