Besides, "Ma-ma" and "Dah" (which we love to hear, of course) Vincent & Adrian have not really begun to say words, but they are learning how to communicate in more complex ways than just pointing and yelling.
For example, if they want help with something, they may come and grab your hand and pull you. Also, they respond accordingly when we ask, "Where's Daddy?" or "Go get your ____" and they will pick up and deliver a shoe, book, sippy cup, or other common object. It's exciting to watch them make more and more progress.
They are fighting with one another a bit less and they're scream in their high chairs a bit less often. Both of these are a huge relief.
For other things, progress is hard to see. For example, no matter what we try or how many times we say it, they still throw food on the floor. I guess we'll just have to get used to that . . . .
