No Brasil

We managed to survive the timultuous days leading up to the big trip: the boy´s first to Brazil.

There were quite a few a "loose ends" in the last entry. Here´s how it all worked out:

Shortly after we found out we´d have to move out, I was offered the position in southern MD. We decided to move there and after about a week, found a place to rent. We started packing on Halloween. I found a home-daycare operation for the boys, since Elisa was able to arrange a job transfer to the branch in the area.

The movers showed up Tuesday morning. By that afternoon, most of our things were in the new place, but we still had to finish packing our bags for the trip the next day. We had an 8am deadline to moveout, but we were still finishing up around 10am when the property manager opened the door and found us in the unit, much to her chagrin.

We finally made it out and headed to the airport. We made our flights, and the gate agents in Atlanta went out of their way to make sure we had empty seats next to us, which was a huge help.

The trip has been great so far, and the boys are taking the country by storm! We were surprised by the reaction they generate here . . . . significantly more fanfare than back in the states when it comes to people on the streets.

The boys hit a few more milestones in the last week: Vinny is walking (a few precarious steps at a time) and Adrian climbed a flight of stairs.

The photos are taking too long to upload - next time.
