Not quite . . . . BUT there has been some progress.
During the last week, they slept from around midnight until almost 7am . . . . we were all shocked. Then next night, they did it again, though no quite as many hours.
We don't want to get our hopes up just yet - babies don't' regularly sleep through the night until they are at least 3 months old. We suspect these nights were a result of a combination of factors: they were awake all evening, we gave them a bath around 10 and they both ate 6 oz. of milk.
Monday marks there 2 month birthday, and you know what that means . . . . time to start getting their shots! Oh fun! They've got an appointment Monday morning.
Needless to say we are anxious about their vaccinations. They will probably fall ill, hopefully not severely. Then there's the theory that the chemical preservatives in vaccinations could be responsible for the rising rate of autism, which is currently 1 in 150 children: definitely frightening, and since we have two, that ratio becomes a 1 in 75 chance one will develop autism.
Yet, the risk of contracting the serious illnesses that the vaccinations are designed to prevent outweighs the possible links to autism, so . . . stick 'em!
